This week, it will be ninety days since Elana Fishbein, Founder and President of No Left Turn in Education (NLTE), delivered a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland imploring him to take prompt action "to investigate, and, if the facts warrant, to prosecute" educators and school staff who facilitate the introduction of graphic, sexually explicit materials to children in K-12 schools.

His reply?

Crickets. Not a promise. Not an excuse. Nada.

We can only assume he would have approved this kind of literature for his two daughters when they were in grade school. Materials aimed at children as young as four years old, that promote gender exploration and transition, books featuring sexual acts between minors and adults, graphic novels that show teenage girls performing oral sex on one another, and more.

Giving AG Garland the benefit of the doubt, maybe he just misplaced our letter under all the papers on his desk. The AG is a busy man these days, chasing down irate parents who confront school boards who ply their children with pornographic filth, racist ideology, and Marxism, all while the kids are being smothered with masks. You know, those "domestic terrorists" from the infamous National School Board Association letter!

So, Elana wrote him again. He got the letter the other day. She reminded him of his obligation to protect minors and enforce federal constitutional and statutory law.

We have no illusions that AG Garland will ever answer us. That's because justice is not among his priorities. He has proven to be a purely political animal. Look no further than his last October surprise, co-opting the National School Board Association to complain about those rabble-rousing parents so he could feign an excuse to target law-abiding citizens exercising their Constitutional rights.

If the Department of Justice isn't going to do its job, we need to seek our remedies elsewhere - on the state and local levels. No Left Turn in Education is taking the battle to the school board meetings, the courts, and the legislatures. They must recognize that the use of sexually explicit materials in schools serves no pedagogical purpose. Instead, it normalizes child sexual exploitation, undermines children's mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, poses an affront to parental authority and religious freedom, and flagrantly violates local, state, and federal law.

No Left Turn in Education wants to take this fight to every school district, locality, and state in the country. To do that, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
