Why did I sign up to be a No Left Turn in Education Chapter President?
Someone recently asked me why I am doing what I am doing. I was thinking about that this morning. What is my motivation? The answer is gratitude. I am grateful for my God and the gift of salvation He has given me. I am grateful for the men and women who served, fought, and died for this country and my freedom. I am grateful for my family and the encouragement, support, and constant comedic relief they provide. I am grateful for my friends who inspire me, challenge me, and hold me accountable. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to wake up every day and decide for myself how I will help make my community, our country, and this world a better safer place for the generations to come. I am reminded daily of all that I have to be grateful for and my only response is to give back. Gratitude is my why.

I no longer teach in the classroom with my elementary and special education degrees, but I still consider myself an educator. I have used my passion for teaching raising my four children who are now young adults, as well as with the children I have volunteered my time with. I am currently using my skills to educate parents in Kentucky about the indoctrination happening in our public schools. I am thankful to have the support of my husband/high school sweetheart on this journey.
